Online assessment is the most effective way in learning, because of the use of modern technology to attract the interest of students and they'll not get bored. This assessment will focus on the student himself. The objectives of this assessment are obvious that students will be encouraged and to test the knowledge and ability of the students, also to make tests and quizzes. The most important assessment tools that can be used in education are:
- Google Form: It is used as an online form to make surveys, quizzes and ask different questions. Also to collect information about students, to make surveys and know the percentages of students in different areas and categories and to have instant results and save time. The result are in form of graph and percentage so you don’t have to read each answer. But it's main purpose is to make tests and quizzes.
- Google Slides: It can be used to make professional presentation and enhance group work in the class. Also it can be used to slide show the information and save time for the teacher.
- Word wall: It can be used to make a brain storm about a subject and know what are the keywords that students have in mined. Also it can be used to make activities and beneficial games.
I strongly agree with you that these apps are very helpful for assessing students. I would like to add that Jamboard and Padlet and other apps can also help in informal assessment while apps such Kahoot and Quizizz can help in formal and informal assessment.
ReplyDeleteI agree with you Zainab, these apps are very helpful and I usually use the google form as a formal assessment and for the informal one I use word wall and mentimeter which are fun to use!
ReplyDeleteI had been using these platforms for two years now. I can safely say that they have helped me with time so much. I tend to use at least 2 every couple of days. Teaching has been changing to the best it can. I only have a mere 4 years of experience, but, i haven't stopped developing myself throughout.
ReplyDeleteI noticed that most of you shared some common tools, with respect to me, I used google forms the most, I wish I would be able to use the rest tools you shared.
